...with weather.

So my incredible, awesome, wonderful, geeky, beautiful fiancée got me (us) a weather station for Christmas because I had it on my Amazon wish list...and because weather is widespread. It's even in your back yard, and mine. And now I have a weather station to prove that I have weather in my back yard (don't know about the front yard yet, I just have to assume that it has weather, too).

You may have noticed the new little weather gadget thing on the right side of my blog.  That's a live (or pretty close to live) photo from a camera mounted high in/on my house looking out towards the river with the real, live (or pretty close to live) weather info under it. So now you'll know what the weather is in my back yard (in the far back corner of my back yard, to be precise) and you can see what I see (or don't see) when I look out of my bedroom window.

For the really adventurous of you, scroll to the bottom of my blog for a 24 hour time-lapse video taken from that very same camera.

If you don't see any new gadgets or video, then you might not have Flash installed or you might be on a mobile device that doesn't support Flash (which is pretty much all of them now...maybe Weather Underground will make an HTML5 version of it's Stickers).  Here's a boring, non-Flash Sticker with my back yard weather info:

  1. Wow. It's good to know you have weather in your yard. And that you have an awesome fiancee, which I don't doubt.
